Gross minor details
The one downside of the Thornton Rec Center pool is that they made it with a good solid sand-paint base in order to provide good footing. However, those of us who live in a dry climate and go barefoot 3/4 of the day by preference and therefore have heavily callused feet find that the combo of lots of warmish chlorinated water and a rough sanded bottom EVERYWHERE means that a 2 1/2 hour visit = sloughing off of a high percentage of the former bottom of the feet. Which hurts.
