A few memories from the Colorado State Organizing Summit, held April 28 & 29 at Shadows Ranch in Georgetown, Colorado. Photos by Susan (the Neon Nurse) Crites, Communications Director/2nd Vice Chair of Prowers County. I apologize for not putting up pictures of ALL the people who helped make this such a fabulous training, but some of my shots just didn't come out. Hope you like the ones that did! Saturday morning, people checking in finding seats. This amazing facility is often used for weddings. ![]() Pat Waak, Colorado State Chair, gives a welcoming address to the many county representatives. ![]() Dan Slater, First Vice Chair, presenting information on the upcoming national convention in Denver. ![]() Everywhere you looked there were elegant and artistic touches in the decor! ![]() The open-air feel from the glass walls and roof was a fun, unusual touch for this kind of meeting, but at times almost TOO warm and bright! ![]() Random crowd shot, coincidentally taken of the spot just across from where I was sitting. ![]() Here we are eating the first of three fabulous meals, outside on the back patio where the afternoon half of Saturday's training would be held. ![]() Pat and some of our officials chatting at an inside table. ![]() One of my favorites of the bronze sculptures they had around the place. ![]() Mike Weissman (center) relaxes after telling us all we could absorb, and then some, about the VAN program. ![]() Don Weigel, head of the House Majority Project and Jen Walmer, Arapahoe County Chair, giving their presentation on targeting voters. ![]() Who is going to be the first to admit their brain is full and they want to go eat dinner? ![]() "When in doubt, DON'T!" says Billy Compton. Mark Ferrandino agrees because he wishes not to go to jail. None of us do, so we paid especially close attention to this talk on financial matters. ![]() Turning Colorado blue, one plastic cup at a time.... ![]() In order not to overload anyone's browser, I set this photo page up as a two-parter.
